Application OnlyFor brands and makers manufacturing in Japan

Your brand, as it is,
to the world.

Tailored, hands-on export support. Application only.

ATJ (All Things Japan) is an application-based platform for bringing products made in Japan to overseas buyers. We work through export feasibility, English-language materials and preparation for buyer conversations, alongside each maker, one stage at a time.

No export experience is needed. We start small, with one hero product.

This page is for you if
  • You want to export but are not sure where to begin
  • You want to reach overseas buyers, but English and export procedures are a concern
  • You want to open overseas channels without discounting your brand

Have a question rather than an application? Write to inquiry@allthingsjapan.co.jp. There is no need to enter the application form.

No setup fee. ATJ's initial review is free.Japanese company, based in YokohamaNo export experience neededNothing you submit is published automatically

Who we work with

Makers we want to work with

We welcome makers who care about quality and want to sell overseas without giving up brand value. Scale matters less to us than honest craft and the long-term value of the brand.

Manufacturing in Japan

Clear origin and production background, with Made in Japan integrity you can stand behind.

Not reliant on discounting

Craft, quality and hard-won reputation come first.

Wanting to start small

Testing overseas response with one hero product, at a controlled scale.

Able to ship from Japan

Whether you can ship today or are still setting it up.

Export experience is not required. We look at readiness, care and willingness to work together rather than size.

Process

The process has five stages

You do not need to provide detailed documents or confidential information up front. Each stage asks only for what it needs.

Send basic information (the free check)

Company name, brand name, contact, product category, and basic manufacturing and shipping details. About three minutes.

No cost data, detailed specifications or confidential information at this stage.

Confirm by email

We send a confirmation link. Opening it completes your submission.

ATJ reviews the submission (free)

We look at the product, brand fit, shipping readiness, and what needs checking for export.

Detailed questions (about twenty)

Sent only where there is a fit. Around fifteen to twenty minutes.

We tell you the scope in advance, so nothing is sprung on you.

After approval, preparation for listing

Detailed registration, document review and listing preparation.

Nothing goes in front of overseas buyers until ATJ's final approval and the maker's agreement are both in place.

Not yet needed

Not needed for your first submission

Nothing has to be perfect at the start. We work through the gaps together, one at a time.

Cost or wholesale pricingWe ask only for an indicative range.
Detailed specifications, confidential informationReviewed after an NDA, if and when needed.

Export experienceATJ works through the required preparations in order.

Our commitments

Brand-first commitments

We exist to protect the brands we work with and raise their value. Trust and reputation come before short-term revenue.

01
We do not discount without your agreement
02
We do not change your brand position without discussing it
03
We do not treat your product as a commodityThis is a joint review to move forward together, not a pass-or-fail examination.
No setup fee. ATJ's initial review is free.

From your first submission through approval, there is no cost to you. If any cost would arise, we explain it and agree it with you beforehand.

Questions

Common questions

Tap a question to see the answer.

Can we apply without export experience?

Yes. Export experience is not required. We review alongside you and work through the necessary export preparations in order.

Are there any fees?

No setup fee, and ATJ's initial review is free. From submission through approval there is no cost. If any cost would arise, we explain it beforehand.

Will our products be listed as soon as we submit?

No. Submitting alone never publishes your products or company information. We review, and where there is a fit we explain the next stage. Anything visible to overseas buyers requires final approval and your agreement.

Do you need cost data or confidential information up front?

No. The first submission covers basic information only. Where detail is needed, we review it after an NDA.

Can small makers apply?

Yes. We look at the story behind the product, its quality, honest craft and willingness to work together rather than size.

Do you accept food and drink?

Food and drink is a category that needs checking. We review regulations by country and region, ingredients, labelling, shelf life and shipping method case by case.

We would rather ask a question first than apply.

Of course. Write to inquiry@allthingsjapan.co.jp. There is no need to enter the application form.
